Robert Devine is a senior counsel in Holland & Knight's Jacksonville office. Mr. Devine focuses his practice on labor and employment law. He also handles immigration matters, employment contract/restrictive covenant and data privacy issues. Additionally, Mr. Devine has extensive experience optimizing in-house counsel and human resources roles to enhance the overall strategies of companies.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight in 2015, Mr. Devine served as the vice president of field human resources and labor relations for Bi-Lo/Winn-Dixie for the Winn-Dixie banner of stores. Mr. Devine and his team were responsible for the human resources function of 560 stores and focused on strategic talent acquisition, talent management and talent development. Additionally, he was the head of the associate relations functions for all of Bi-Lo/Winn-Dixie's 820 stores. In addition, Mr. Devine served in various roles within the company’s legal department since 2005, including leadership roles as the head of the company’s labor and employment group, and litigation group. He also spearheaded the company’s commitment to remain a union-free workplace. He is an EQ-i 2.0 / EQ360 Certified Assessment practitioner.
